While lambic is typically brewed with unmalted wheat, this limited edition lambic uses dark, roasted wheat to contribute both flavour and colour. After two years of aging in oak foeders, this lambic beer is refined for a one more year in 20-year-old oak cognac barrels. This unique process not only gives our Gueuze Dark Cuvée René its deep amber brown glow, but also delivers a powerful yet elegant flavour—where the fresh-sour vibrancy of lambic meets the subtle cognac notes.
