From wordplay to icon: The story behind Pecheresse

The name “Pecheresse” is a creative French wordplay, hinting at both juicy peaches (pêche) and a sinful woman (pécheresse). This double meaning inspired the elegant woman on our Art Nouveau label — an idea brought to life in 1987 in a hand-drawing by Nicole, wife of René Lindemans (5th-generation lambic brewer). This label and name were adapted in the USA in 2025.
