The story behind Cuvée Francisca
Every remarkable beer begins with a story, and ours was written more than two centuries ago. Francisca Vandersmissen was born around 1800 in Hof ter Kwadewegen in Vlezenbeek, on a proverbial bed of hops and malt. Brewing ran through her veins. Years later, her radiant charm captured the heart of Joos Lindemans. In 1822, they married and settled in the Vandersmissen farm brewery. Soon after, they began crafting the golden, effervescent beer we now know as Gueuze. And so, Lindemans Brewery was born.
